Day 1:

The tour will depart from The Barnyard Theatre Willowbridge at approximately 10:00am.

Our first stop is at the only organic wine farm in the Western Cape, Waverley Hills, where you can taste the finest organic wine and organic olives. The winemaker will take you on a tour through the cellar where you will learn more about the history of organic wine. Afterwards lunch will be enjoyed at the restaurant. The menu consists mainly of organic food, suitable for every taste. The appetizing cheese platter or the succulent fillet steak is highly recommended…

The shuttle will depart for our cottage located at the foot of the Matroosberge at approximately 14:00, where staff will assist you with your luggage. Cold beverages will be served while you brace yourself for your first cherry experience of the day. Guests will be driven to the Klondyke cherry farm, where you can enjoy the rest of the day .

Guests will return to the cottage at 18:30 where a cozy fire will await you and our bar facilities can be enjoyed while we prepare dinner. At approximately 19:30pm “braaivleis”, potatoes, baked bread and salad will be served. Enjoy the rest of the evening relaxing with a book or keep yourself busy in our entertainment area with a game of snooker, table tennis or darts or watch a movie on DSTV.

Day 2:

A farm style breakfast will be served at approximately 08:30. After breakfast, guests will be picked up by staff of the Matroosberg 4x4 Resort for the experience of a lifetime! You will be driven up the Matroosberge where you can feast your eyes on some of the most magnificent landscapes in the world.

The shuttle will depart for the trip back to Cape Town at approximately 15:30. A stop at the Rietdakkie farm stall, where snacks can be purchased for your journey home, is a necessity!
Estimated time of arrival at The Barnyard Theatre is 17:30.

Tour Summary:

Day 1:

10:00 - Departure from The Barnyard Theatre, Willowbridge at 10:00. 11:45 - Stop at Waverly Hills for wine tasting, lunch and a tour. 14:00 - Depart for the 027Farmhouse. Visit the Bo-Swaarmoed pass and Klondyke Cherry farm. 18:30 - Return to the cottage 19:30 - Dinner

Day 2:

08:30 - Breakfast 09:45 - 4x4 Trip up the Matroosberge 15:30 - Depart for Cape Town Pit stop at the Rietdakkie 17:30 - Arrive in Cape Town
